On 11 October 2021, Johnson & Johnson and Partema Medicus, UAB jointly organised their first hybrid conference in Kaunas, entitled “Complex Mechanical Thrombectomy Cases and Different Clot Types.”
The event brought together nine interventional radiology specialists and experts representing five Lithuanian healthcare institutions. It provided a valuable platform for sharing clinical experience, discussing challenging cases, and exchanging practical insights into mechanical thrombectomy.
Professor Tommy Andersson, MD, PhD, an internationally recognised expert in interventional neuroradiology affiliated with Karolinska University Hospital in Sweden, joined the conference remotely. During his presentation, Professor Andersson reviewed complex mechanical thrombectomy cases and discussed different clot types and their potential impact on procedural strategy. He also shared practical recommendations and insights with his Lithuanian colleagues.
Lithuanian specialists presented challenging cases from their own clinical practice and discussed the procedural difficulties they had encountered. The presentations were followed by an engaging professional discussion, allowing participants to exchange perspectives and explore potential approaches to complex clinical situations.
At Partema Medicus, we believe that openly sharing experience, knowledge, and clinical challenges is essential to continuous professional development and improved patient care.
On behalf of Partema Medicus, we sincerely thank all the specialists who participated in the conference. We also extend our appreciation to Johnson & Johnson for the opportunity to organise this valuable educational event together.
