McC retractor

McC retractor

The "McC" retractor was designed to assist in surgery by allowing maximum exposure of the disc while keeping the incision as small as possible.

The McC retractor is made of black-coated stainless steel and is designed for lumbar microdiscectomy.

We supply it as a complete set, including a wide range of interchangeable blades and two retractor frames.

The McC retractor is also available in carbon fibre and PEEK (polyether ether ketone). This version offers reduced weight, fewer artefacts on X-ray imaging, and data compatible with CT / MRI scans.

Advantages:

  • This specialised retractor allows the surgeon to optimally visualise the disc through a minimal incision.
  • The articulated retractor arm design improves access, and the arms adjust to a low profile that follows the contour of the patient's back.
  • The black finish eliminates distracting reflections under the microscope during surgery.
  • A wide selection of blades gives the surgeon flexibility in choosing the approach to the disc.
